14 March Hello Again!Well hello again! I have now made my "Price List" which will, for the time being, reside at the top of this page - right underneath the new welcome banned.
If, by some odd chance, you missed the Price List, I shall post it again for you.
![]() If you have any questions, or if this is - in any way - unclear, please don't hesitate to ask questions. Payment will be due at the time the request is made - work WILL NOT begin on your item until I have recieved your payment. Also, if you feel that you would like to "donate" above and beyond what I regularly ask for my work, that is always accepted, too.
Just keep in mind that the Free Blinkie Service is NO MORE!
My deepest and sincerest apologies to those of you who will take this badly, or who will be upset.
My hope is that this change will be well recieved and looked upon kindly by those of you who use my services the most.
My best and fondest wishes to you all -
![]() ![]() 08 January ChangesHello to all!
I have decided to make some changes on this site, but they won't be made for a while yet. I have a lot on my plate at the moment, and so don't have much time for updates and what not.
Rest assured, I AM still making blinkies and sig tags... just not at the rate that I was making them earlier.
Thank you all for your responses to my last post - it has helped a great deal in my decision on whether or not to charge for my work. I really appreciate the input.
And now, I'm off to other things... but thank you all for stopping by.
*hugz* and *luvz*
![]() 17 November Need your opinions!!!!Hello all! I've got a dilemma, and I need help deciding what to do. See, I make a LOT of blinkies and signature tags. Some I just decide to do for myself, or as gifts. But most of them are requests. Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE doing it - that's why I started this blog page to begin with. And, I'm sure, most of you will remember, that when I began this, I said that I wasn't going to charge for my work because this isn't my job. *sigh* Here's where the dilemma comes in. See, I have a problem with thinking that ANYONE is going to want to pay for my work. Donate if you think its good enough... definately. I have no trouble with that. But my husband says that some people are taking advantage of me... because I'm offering my "services" for free. Glitter names - JUST the glitter names - are really easy to do, and I don't mind doing 2 or 3 for one person. But when that one person requests 6 or 7 glitters, and e-mails me about once a week with 6 or 7 NEW requests.... and there's never a "Thank you," or a "Hey, these are great!" or anything... yeah. Its rather irksome. I've also had several people say "Hey, I'll definately donate to you once the sig or blinkie is done." And then I e-mail them with the finished product and.... nothing. They disappear. I mean, come on people. If you SAY you're going to pay for something, DO IT. Don't say you will and then disappear. To me, that's the equivalent of stealing.
Anyway, enough of my rant. (So sorry... I promised myself I wouldn't get upset over this.... *takes a deep breath*) My dilemma is this - my husband thinks I should charge for my work. On the one hand, I agree - but only because I'm tired of being taken advantage of and lied to. But on the other hand - as I said before - I have trouble thinking that people are going to want to pay for my work. My husband wants me to charge $5.00 for each blinkie (that's the dolls and/or boxes), and AT LEAST $7.00 for sig tags. I say at least because some people want a LOT of stuff in their sig tag, and that means more work for me, and more time spent at the computer and away from my family. (I don't know what he thinks about the glitter names.) Here's my idea... $5 and $7 just seems to be a LOT to me. So, I was thinking for Glitters, the first 3 are free. After that, each glitter name is $1.00. For blinkies (the dolls or boxes), a MINIMUM "donation" (can't think of any other word) of $3.00. Anything more than that would be up to the person "donating." For sig tags, a minimum of $5.00 - but the REALLY detailed ones would be a minimum of $7.00. What do ya'll think? Too expensive? Too cheap? What? YOU guys, as the ones requesting blinkies and sig tags, will be affected by this, so I need to know what you think. I realize that a lot of people will be upset with me because they'll be losing their "Free Blinkie Service," but - and I'm sorry to say - my time is every bit as valuable as theirs. Just because I stay home to take care of my kids doesn't mean that I don't have a job. My grandmother says that being a full time mom is like having 2 full time jobs. 1) a housekeeper, and 2) a daycare center. Add on top of that the blinkies and sig tags I make.... that's a lot, don't you think?
Anyway, just as a heads up, if this recieves TOO much negativity, the blinkie making will stop completely. I can't just keep making and making and making things and never getting anything in return... but I also refuse to get into a huge battle over whether my services should be free or not. So... ultimately, the decision is mine, but I wanted the input of the people that this will affect. So, leave me your comments and tell me what you think. I do have one favor to ask, tho... if you're going to be mean and nasty about it, please e-mail me instead of commenting. This site has been fairly well run, and - I think - rather respectable. There hasn't been any negativity on it yet... and I'd prefer to keep it that way. Thank you. 28 October Going on HiatusGood day to all! Due to a recent onslaught of blinkie and signature requests, I'm afriad I'm going to have to take a short Hiatus. For some reason, this particular batch of blinkies and signatures is giving me a considerable amount of trouble. I'm having some difficulties finding proper images for the sigs, and the blinkies aren't turning out at all the way I'm invisioning them. *sigh* Its rather disappointing, to tell you all the truth.
Anyway, if you'd like to request a blinkie or a signature, you're welcome to do so. However, please bear in mind that I won't be starting any new "orders" until I complete the ones I currently have under my belt.
With that said, here's hoping that everyone has a wonderful week, and I hope to be back at blinkie-ing soon!
![]() 06 October As a Side Note....Ok, in the interest of all, I felt like I needed to post this. If you are going to leave me a comment here with a blinkie request, PLEASE leave me 1) your site URL, or 2) your e-mail address. I'd prefer to have both, just in case your site is restricted. If you make a request, I will either e-mail you or leave a comment on your site to let you know that your blinkie is finished. If I have no way of contacting you back... how are you going to know that its done unless you swing by my site all the time and check all my albums?
Its a lot less hassle and stress for everyone if you just leave me your site URL and/or your e-mail address. If you don't want everyone and their brother to see your e-mail address, YOU can e-mail ME. There's a direct link to my e-mail address in the upper left hand corner of this page. Thanks so much for your understanding and co-operation.
![]() ![]() 24 September Revised Welcome - PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING A REQUEST!!!Hello, and welcome to all! Many of you have been by this site before, so you know the rules and what I need to know if you're going to request a blinkie. However, I have also decided that this site could use a bit of re-vamping. Therefore, I have made some tutorials, and I am going to make your requests as easy as possible.
The first thing I would like to say - before you decide to make a request - is to please keep in mind that while I do enjoy making blinkies, it is NOT my job. My JOB (if you want to call it that) is being a stay-at-home-mom for my 4 and 5 year olds, and a housewife for my husband. My family ALWAYS comes first. There may be times that I finish a blinkie within 2 or 3 days - and that's been known to happen. But there are also times that it may take me weeks to complete... and that's only because I get involved with my family and doing PTO and a TON of other things. So, if you want your blinkie made IMMEDIATELY, I'm going to please ask that you go somewhere else to request it. There are many wonderful blinkie sites out there, and I'm sure they'd love to accomodate you as quickly as possible. I, on the other hand, simply do this as a hobby of sorts.... to relax when I'm not playing with my kids or beating on my husband. *grin* (I'm just teasing... sort of...)
The second thing I need to say is this - when making your blinkie request, please please PLEASE be as detailed as you possibly can. It makes my life MUCH easier when I know exactly what you want and don't have to chase you down with a million and one questions. That being said, when making your request, please try to answer the following questions IN AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE:
For Glitter Requests:
1. Go through my "Fonts" photo album, and tell me what font you want me to use.
2. What color glitter do you want? (All the examples are in my "Glitter Examples" album.)
3. What do you want your Glitter Blinkie to say? Your name? Welcome? It can say virtually anything, but keep in mind that the LONGER your saying it is, the SMALLER the font will be.
For Blinkies With Dolls:
1. Describe the doll you want - LOTS of detail. Color of eyes, color of hair, what type of clothes, what COLOR clothes?
2. What do you want your blinkie to say? And where to want the words positioned? Under the doll? Next to the doll?
3. Do you want an animated box around your saying? If so, what colors?
For Signature Tags:
1. YOU must find the picture you want me to use. Once you have it saved to your computer, you can e-mail me with it. (My e-mail address is in the upper left hand corner of this page.)
2. What do you want your sig tag to say? (For example, my sig tag says "Goddess of Blinkies" at the top, and "What's Your Fancy?" at the bottom. So its my "name" and my "catch phrase.")
3. Do you want the WORDS in your sig tag to glitter? If so, please answer the questions beneath the "For Glitter Requests" section.
For All Other Blinkie Requests
1. Simply be as detailed as possible. If you don't see anything in any of my albums that resembles what you want, describe your vision to me - colors, shapes, images, sayings... the whole she-bang.
If you make a blinkie request and do NOT answer all of the necessary questions, your request will be deleted. I'm sorry, but I simply do not have the time to chase after the makers of all the requests to find out details. The questions I have listed here are to make everyone's lives easier. Thank you.
Now that you've wracked your brain trying to answer my questions, *grin* just sit back and wait. That's all there is to do. I'll begin work on your blinkie when I have time, and I will either e-mail you or notify you in your comments section on your blog when your blinkie is complete. At the beginning of each month, I will go through my albums and delete any blinkies that are older than 3 months. I only have a limited amount of space that I can use to store blinkies and images, and because I'm constantly getting requests, I'm constantly added blinkies and images.
As a small side note, as I said earlier, this is not my job. Therefore, I don't require payments for my work. However, if you feel so inclined as to DONATE... well, hey. Who am I to argue? *grin* There is a link to my donation site in the upper left hand corner of this page, and I do accept Paypal - which accepts all major credit cards. (Listen to me... I sound like an info-mercial! *falls over laffin*)
Also, there are two ways for you to request a blinkie. One, you may leave me a request here, in the comments section of this first entry. Or two, you may e-mail me with your request. If you're requesting a sig tag, the second method is much preferred.
Well, guys and dolls, I do believe I've covered everything. Then again, I'm always looking for ways to improve my site, so if you think of something that would make navigation of this site easier, or even making requests eaiser, please e-mail me with your suggestions.
Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful day! Be safe, take care, and thanks for stopping in!

Congratulations!
You have now created your very own banner!
*Keep in mind, you can change the text to whatever you want, and the font size and style to suit your purposes. For examples of what all the fonts look like, check my "Fonts" photo album.
How to Add Glitters to your Banner For this tutorial, you need to find and save a glitter to your computer. Go to Auburn Angel's Glitter Index Gold and Silver Page. The very first glitter (first row, first on the left) is the glitter we're going to use. Now, if I were you, I would create a new folder in my Documents called Glitters. Now right click on the glitter, select Save As, and BE SURE TO PUT IT IN YOUR NEW GLITTERS FOLDER. Just use the same name that she has. Goldglitter02aa.
Happy Glittering!

The Goddess's Glitter PicksThis is the very first site I used for glitter. It's pretty good - she's got a lot of different colors, and she even has some Heart Glitter. All in all, a very good glitter site - especially if you like bolder, brassier, and bigger glitters.
I would have to say that Auburn Angel's is my favorite glitter site. She has very soft, very delicate glitters - they just appeal to my taste more. She also has some very nice glitters for holidays - and some of them have images in the backgrounds... VERY nice to use as a background with solid color text.
There are LOTS of other glitter sites out there - I've used some myself. A few of these being Dan's Sparklies (more bold and brassy glitters), Bows, Glitter, Gold, and Dings (for a further list of glitter sites), Glitter! (for some longer glitter bars.), and The Glitter Maker (make your own banner with glitter here).
ALWAYS REMEMBER!!!
When you want to use a glitter that belongs to someone else, please please please do NOT hotlink! You MUST right click and Save As to your OWN COMPUTER. If you hotlink or direct link, it is stealing the bandwidth of the person who was kind enough to create these glitters. And that just isn't right. So please - always remember to use Glitter Etiquette and save to your computer. Thank you. How to Add Blinkies to your BlogStep 1:
Register and get an account with Photobucket.
Step 2:
Locate an image or GIF (animation/blinkie) that you like.
Step 3:
Right click on the image/GIF and select Save As. (This will save the image to your computer. Be sure to save it in a place that you'll remember, and give it a name that you'll remember.)
Step 4:
Log in to your Photobucket account. Click the button that says Browse. Select your image/GIF and click OK. Now click on the Upload button.
Step 5:
Once you have your image/GIF uploaded to your Photobucket account, left click on the image. (This will bring up your GIF in its own window, and it will be full size.)
Step 6:
Now, right click on your image/GIF and select COPY.
Step 7:
Go back over to your blog and position your cursor where you want your GIF to show up.
Step 8:
Hit Ctrl+V (paste) to paste your image/GIF in your blog.
Step 9:
There is probably now a blue box around your blinkie. Simply backspace once or twice to remove the box. (Any more than that, and you'll delete your blinkie.)
Congratulations!
You have now added your blinkie to your blog! 08 August BlinkiesHello guys and dolls!
This is my new page - where I shall be displaying all of my past and current blinkies. This is also where ya'll will be able to request cutom made blinkies, and also - if you should choose - to donate for said blinkies. You can find the donation link in the upper left corner of this page.
I hope you all enjoy your stay here, and feel free to drop in often for the lastest installments of blinkies!
If you would like to request a custom blinkie, please do one of two things - 1) comment to me on this space and leave your request, or 2) e-mail me with your request. You can find my e-mail address in the list entitled "Contact Me" in the upper left of this page.
If you request a blinkie, it will be posted on this site in the photo album entitled "Requested Custom Blinkies." All other blinkies will be in the "Random Blinkies" album, or the corresponding album.
To claim your custom blinkie (or any others from this site) simply right-click on the image you wish to save, select Save As from the pop-up list, and save it to your computer. You will need to have an image hosting site, such as Photobucket to host your images on. Once your blinkie is loaded on your hosting site, simply copy/paste into your blog. If you have any further questions on how to get blinkies or other images into your blog, please feel free to leave me a comment or e-mail me.
Thank you all for stopping by to visit!

Hello again all - I'm hoping that I won't have to make many blog entries here and that I'll be able to keep them all in the one blog. I'd like to have my Welcome blog as the first one. *sigh*
Well, anyway, just a quick update for those of you who have requested blinkies - due to my hectic schedule of late, I more than likely won't be doing any blinkie making except on the weekends. Both of my kids just started school - my daughter for the first time, and my son is in his Kindergarten year. They're both only gone for a few hours each day, and I use those few precious hours to clean the house. Course, it gets torn up again when they get home from school, but that's neither here nor there. My point is, I wanted to thank you all for dropping in and requesting blinkies. I promise you that I WILL get them done, you just have to be patient with me.
Also, if you could please, put as much detail into your request as possible. Please try to answer these following questions -
1) What colors do you want your blinkie?
2) What type of blinkie do you want? (ie glitter name, name with a doll, name with the doll head, animated box, etc...)
3) If you only want the animated box, do you want an object inside the box with your name? (ie a butterfly, a heart, your favorite animal, etc...)
4) What should the blinkie say? Your name? A nickname? Happy Birthday?
5) If you want a glitter name, please look through my "Name Fonts" photo album, and choose a font that you like. Let me know what font you'd like your blinkie(s) done in.
If you need some help trying to decide what type of blinkie you'd like, take a look at my blinkie albums. There are lots of different styles and colors and what not to choose from. There are even different types of dolls - if you're particular about that sort of thing. Just let me know! Thanks a bunch.

How to Add Pictures or Blinkies to Your Blog
1) First, you MUST have an account with an image hosting site - such as Photobucket or Photodump.
2) Once you locate the image/blinkie you want to use, right click and Save As to your computer. (make sure to give it a name that you'll remember)
3) Go to your image hosting site, and upload the image from your computer. (I use Photobucket, so I'm not familiar with how Photodump or any of the others work.)
4) Get the image into its own window (with Photobucket, just left click on the image to get the full size in its own window.)
5) Right click on the image and Copy
6) Go back over to your blog and hit Ctrl+V (paste).
And VOILA! You've now got your blinkie on your blog.
Hope that helps!
